Literature Review - Whole Body Interaction

چکیده
Arm fatigue, or gorilla-arm, was the primary reason for the initial failure of mid-air or touchscreen computer interaction systems [1]. Gestural interfacing is now being adopted widely in gaming, medical applications as well as education, but only through careful research and development of such systems to eliminate or significantly reduce fatigue and optimize the interaction. Although the most common mid-air interactions focus on arm and hand gestures, such as the LeapMotion and also a Nintendo Wii remote, several other techniques exist or are in development to bring the whole body of the user into the interface. The concept of gorilla-arm also extends to whole body interactions, and in a sense is much more important. Mobility is an additional aspect of a whole body interaction (WBI) system which is to be addressed. On-body visualizations, EM noise sensing, grounded interfaces, and intra-operative machine interfacing through inertial sensors are all systems currently in their research and development stage, and in-depth studies looking at the development principles of such systems have also been conducted. One such study identifies key design qualities of a WBI system, and another describes EnActor, a blueprint developed specifically for the development of whole body interaction software in a performing arts context.

The Effects of Whole Body Vibration on Mobility and Balance in Parkinson Disease: a Systematic Review
Whole body vibration (WBV) is a contemporary treatment modality that holds promise as an exercise training method in health–compromised individuals. A growing number of studies on individuals with Parkinson Disease are examining whether WBV improves balance and functional mobility. However, interpreting WBV studies is challenging since there is variability in the manner in which WBV interventio...
متن کاملUnusual diagnosis of Von Hippel Lindau syndrome on PET/CT - Case report and brief review of literature
We report an unusual case of a young male with cerebellar hemangioblastoma treated previously for medullary carcinoma of thyroid, whose PET/CT scans revealed a constellation of findings that suggested the rare Von Hippel Lindau syndrome. The diagnosis was clinched by confirming the findings on whole body contrast enhanced computed tomography (CECT) and contrast enha...

Interaction between trace element such as Copper, Molybdenum and Sulphor affecting not only on the rate of Absorption, but also on the metabolic activity. The studies has shown that excessive expense of full diet sulphor decreases notonly molybdenum's absorption, but also demineralization of tissue from above elements . Also interaction between molybdenum and copper decreases body availability ...
متن کاملResponses of Muscle Mitochondrial Function to Physical Activity: A Literature Review
Skeletal muscles play an active role in regulating the metabolic homeostasis through their ability for relating to adipose tissue and endocrine hormones. Contraction of the skeletal muscle leads to increased release of several myokines, such as irisin, which is able to interact with the adipose tissue. Physical activity promotes the irisin mechanism by augmenting the peroxisomes (PGC1-α) in the...
